Vermeer

As a global manufacturer of industrial and agricultural equipment, Vermeer utilizes a telematics service for both their customers and dealers. During my involvement with this project, I gained a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in designing for this domain. Our team faced numerous challenges that required creative solutions, and we tackled these by prioritizing user testing throughout the project.

By putting the user first and understanding their needs, we were able to uncover critical issues with the experience. Through journey mapping, user interviews, and wire-framing, our team iterated on various designs, collaborated closely with developers, and conducted frequent audits of the Beta environment to ensure correct implementation and a smooth handoff. We placed a strong emphasis on accessibility and assured that our design colors were cohesive across the larger site.

The Problem

With each Vermeer customer owning anywhere from 1 to 100+ machines, there is a large amount of data that needs to be tracked and analyzed. Vermeer recognized the need to find new ways to use this data to drive value within their telematics space

The Solution

To enhance the user experience and drive new value, our design team invested significant time in reimagining the functionality of Vermeer’s dashboard and interface. We introduced subscription tiers to provide users with more structured value, and incorporated geofencing, notifications, action items, and other features to streamline the user's workflow.
